Changing
of the Guard at Buckingham Palace
The ceremony takes place on most alternate days
at 11.30 am in the forecourt. The old guard forms up in the forecourt
before handing over to the new guard. For best views stand in
front of the palace railings, or by Victoria Memorial.
The Mounted Guard Changing Ceremony takes place daily at Tilt
Yard (The Horse Guards building on Whitehall), in the forecourt.
This equestrian ceremony is more elaborate than the Changing of
the Guard.

has been the official London residence of britons monarchs since
1837. The State Rooms are open to visitors from August to September.

The Palace of Westminster has been the site of the Houses of
Parliament since 1265. Members of the public can watch debates
when either Houses is in session from the Strangers Gallery. Guided
